VILLA SAN MICHELE
It 'was the home of Swedish doctor Axel Munthe, and is now one of the most visited museums of the island. Built on the ruins of an ancient chapel dedicated to St. Michael, now belongs to the Axel Munthe Foundation.
In the book "The Story of San Michele", the Swedish doctor tells of his arrival on Capri in 1885, and the progressive construction of the villa.
The complex is divided into several levels: the study is on the first floor; through the loggia the pergola and columns you reach a circular viewpoint overlooking the Gulf of Naples.
In the villa are preserved archaeological objects found by the Swedish doctor and during his stay on the island of Capri.We find fragments of sarcophagi, busts, Roman floors, marble and columns, a Greek tomb in the garden and a granite sphinx which enjoys a splendid view of the island.

THE CERTOSA OF SAN GIACOMO
By Giacomo Arcucci in 1363-65 began the construction of the Certosa of San Giacomo on land donated by Queen Giovanna I of Anjou.
It is accessed via a road whose end is the entrance to a fortified tower at whose side is the porch of the Church.
La Certosa is structured in three buildings: an external to the life of the monastery with the pharmacy and the church for women, one for the brothers and for outside guests and the last building for the life of seclusion with the cells around the Great Cloister and other small rooms around the small cloister.
The Great Cloister is currently a High School with the Museum Diefenbach, where take place
concerts and events.



VILLA JOVIS
The building, in the first century. BC was attributed to Tiberius for the location overlooking the sea that ensured privacy and security important reason for the emperors of the time.
The Roman villa remains good part of the structure, built on large tanks and reservoirs, created to overcome the lack of water on the island.
Villa Jovis was organized in areas linked by corridors, staircases, and tunnels. To the north there was the emperor's apartment overlooking the Gulf of Naples; to the east there was the field for the high representation, the baths were to the south and west the accommodation and service areas.
At the end of the avenue leading to the villa is the famous "Jump of Tiberio", a place that according to legend was used by the emperor to make you dash disobedient servants and unwanted guests.

Via Krupp
It is a pedestrian street that connects the area of the Certosa of San Giacomo and the Gardens of Augustus with the Marina Piccola, in the past this area was in contact with the country only through Mule.
It was built in the early 1900's, built by Friedrich Alfred Krupp, a German industrialist.





BLUE GROTTO

Known worldwide for its vastness and the blue color of its interior.
In Roman times, during Tiberius time, the interior of the Blue Grotto was used as a marine altar.
To reach the grotto there are two possibilities: from Anacapri by public transport or by boat leaving from Marina Grande with speedboats, going around the island of Capri, stop at the entrance of the cave.
To enter the Blue Grotto you have to climb in small rowing boats and lying on the bottom of the boar, cross the narrow and low natural passage opened into the rock.



CHURCH OF SAINT MICHAEL

It is a baroque church dedicated to the Archangel St. Michael; was built at the turn of the seventeenth and eighteenth century along with all the Teresian to which he belonged.
It is octagonal with a Greek cross.
The church of San Michele is one of the most important Neapolitan production of the eighteenth-century;  is the beautiful tiled floor in which are depicted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden performed in the 1761.
