The town is less well known than others on the Peninsula and not so crowded with tourists, maintains a more secluded, preserving flavors and ideas that have disappeared elsewhere.
Nearby is the Marina Lobra, an ancient fishing village with houses built right on the beach of the small port.
It is situated on a small stretch of the Sorrento Peninsula and in particular is the small port town of Sorrento. It takes its name from the church above, dedicated to Our Lady of Lobra, patron of the place. The small port looks like a natural bay that is home to many pleasure boats and fishing, as well as a Yacht Club since 1973. The site also features construction, even in Mediterranean style, which is fully in harmony with the surrounding landscape and the simplicity of life reminiscent of the old village, but now home to many vacationers.
Around Massa Lubrense there are many beautiful locations including: Nerano, Marina del Cantone, Punta Campanella
