Pick up from your hotel at 6.00 a.m. and departure by ferry-boat at 6.40 a.m..
You’ll take the highway to Pompeii, where a guided tour of app. 2 1/2 hours will take you through this unique excavation of the Roman town, which together with Herculaneum was buried by lava during the eruption of the Vesuvius in 79 A.D. After lunch break you will be taken up to Vesuvius, from the foot of which a path leads up to the crater. Time to walk to the top and see the crater. Return to Naples and then to Ischia. Back to your hotel app. 6.30 p.m.
